Haungaroa White & Red earring

The Moko kauae (traditional ink on a woman’s chin) and its design is a distinctive taonga (gift) that differentiates wāhine Māori from other indigenous wāhine.

This particular moko kauae is inspired and designed specifically for our tūpuna Haungaroa. The de sign is softer with smoother lines to depict the steam that rises from the heat generated from geothermal activity.
