Hinekauorohia Mirror engraved-infill earring

Hinekauorohia is known as the goddess of reflection and sacred waters 🌊 

The groves down the middle of the moko kauae are shaped as fins, depicting the the past (upper fin), the present (middle fin), and the future (lower fin)- all important elements to consider when in reflection. The engraved-filled spirals represent the swirling sacred waters used to ground one’s self when reconnecting with our taiao (environment) and our tupuna (ancestors)💙 This design differs from the cut-infill as it also features small koru near the lip also depicting the free-flowing waters.

Hinekauorohia inspires us to reconnect with our Awa, Roto, Puna or Moana. She also encourages us to embed the practice of reflection into our everyday lives so the growth we require and the lessons at hand flow more fluidly 🌀
