Pepeha Puzzles-Made to Order 🧩🧩

I am a māmā of 6,  kaiako, and a creative tutu. The Pepeha Puzzle is a resource tool for our tamariki, mokopuna, and also our whānau seeking to reconnect with their taha Māori- especially those facing challenges in recalling the components of their pepeha.

I have designed this utilising the V.A.K (Visual, auditory, kinaesthetic) approach which I’ve found more beneficial for Māori learners throughout my own teaching haerenga.

The learner will VISUALLY connect colours to pepeha components, experience AUDITORY learning by vocalising each line associated with the puzzle piece, and engage in KINAESTHETIC learning by physically placing the pieces into the puzzle.

It caters to a broad audience, from classrooms to kohanga settings, allowing for a generic experience without kupu on the puzzle. Alternatively, it can become a cherished keepsake within a whānau or hapū, with the option to engrave your maunga, marae, etc. onto the puzzle pieces. There is also an option to customise colours.
