Taniko Bamboo Earring & Necklace Set (Large)
Traditionally, Taniko design was a type of weaving technique featured on garments. Nowadays, they are more commonly seen on kapahaka attire in womens bodices and tīpare (headbands). The lines are straight and rigid with repetition of triangles and diamonds. In this design, the base of the taniko represents the rumbling of tectonic plates below the earths surface. As you move up the design it breaks into smaller fragments, depicting the rapid bursts of geothermal activity shooting upwards.
